From Honduras’ Intibucá highlands, this coffee shows a vibrant, fruit-driven cup: Fig and jammy cherry lift into sweet raspberry, grounded by soft caramel depth for a balanced finish.
The Producers
High in the hills of Intibucá, Las Manzanas farm is the life’s work of Dely Suyapa Matute. While her husband traveled to the United States to help support the family, Dely remained in Honduras, raising their six children and nurturing ten thousand seedlings that would become the foundation of the farm. Their perseverance reached a milestone in 2014, when Las Manzanas placed fourth in the Cup of Excellence.
Today, Las Manzanas is part of a growing network of producers in Pozo Negro, where sixty farming families collaborate and reinvest in shared mills and drying patios. This collective effort strengthens traceability and elevates micro-lot quality—an essential step for a region whose potential has long exceeded its market access. This coffee embodies that shared momentum: a commitment to quality, resilience, and the future of Intibucá’s coffee community.
